The study of human movement, performance and function in conjunction with Science
Pepie completed her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology in 2013 at the University of Alberta
Her treatments consist of applying exercise, movement and science to promote health and wellbeing; prevent, manage and rehabilitate injuries; treat illness and chronic disease; restore function, and optimize your performance in the workplace, clinical settings, sport and fitness. Kinesiologists are the only human movement specialists that use science and research to offer movement as medicine to any person with a health or fitness goal, who want a hands-on, personalized approach. Kinesiologists work with people of all ages, and physical abilities, in many settings, to help them achieve their health and wellness goals. They improve quality of life, often using interventions that include physical activity.
Kinesiology is the study of human movement. A specialization in the way muscles and joints function. Kinesiologists use exercises specifically catered to your body to reduce pain, prevent injuries, and improve performance.
What kinesiologists here can do for you:
- Perform a comprehensive posture assessment and provide a treatment plan to suit you. Whether you sit at a desk all day or your job involves a lot of repetitive movements, poor posture can result in or contribute to chronic neck, back, shoulder, and hip pain. It can also reduce breathing capacity and increase fatigue.
- Assess core strength and balance and develop an exercise plan to improve these areas.
- Complete a full body assessment for flexibility, strength, and balance and work closely with you to create a training plan that works for you.
